Students, designers and models are ready to walk down the catwalk and
celebrate "Fairfax Fashion Week" on Sunday 2nd event at George Mason
University in Virginia (GMU)."This event is organized thinking in the community, promote designers,
fashion students and also works to promote the development and the
economy in Fairfax County," said Rodriguez Mayerly Colombian designer in
charge of the event.
Weeks before the event, Rodriguez organized a "casting" that took place at GMU. "There are many people with enormous talent. We opened the doors to all and opportunity for all. We accept people from age 16 until you no longer withstand their knees, "said the designer.An example of the support provided to students through these events is Betzy Romero. The student from Bolivia, 22, studied fashion design at the University and graduated Marymounth next year."Mayerly has taught me to better understand the world of fashion and are planning to exhibit my own collection for next year," Romero said excitedly."Fairfax Fashion Week" will feature a spectacular walkway about 100 feet long parade where models like Gissell Botero, Jenny Osoria, Jackie Delphi, Esmeralda Flores, Kerrigan and Laura Cesar Quinonez, with special guests."Fairfax Fashion Week", and offers the opportunity to meet different collectors, independent designers and models will give way to music.Odra is listen to the music of the band "Cymbalize" formed by young people who are going strong in the musical "indie" and Rocka vocalist, winner of the first places in different forms in the country among which is the first "American Idol" and "DC Idol".
